Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026: Dates Announced + What You Need to Know
On select autumn nights, Magic Kingdom transforms into a festive Halloween celebration filled with exclusive entertainment, seasonal treats, and unique character experiences. With 2026 dates now announced, it’s the perfect time to start planning—especially since this is one of Disney’s most popular limited-capacity events.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed evening event at Walt Disney World that offers a completely different park experience from a typical day at Magic Kingdom. Guests can enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the park (including adults), rare character meet-and-greets, exclusive entertainment, themed food and beverages, specialty merchandise, and even select attractions with festive overlays and shorter wait times.
The 2026 party will run from August 7 through October 31 on select nights. August dates include the 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th, and 30th. September dates include the 1st, 4th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 25th, 27th, and 29th. October dates include the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th, and 31st. As a general planning tip, earlier dates in August and September tend to be less crowded, while October nights—especially Halloween—are typically the first to sell out.
Ticket sales will open on May 5, 2026 for guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green. All other guests will be able to purchase tickets beginning May 12. Many dates sell out quickly, so having a plan in place ahead of time is essential.
Guests attending the party can look forward to a lineup of returning favorites and new entertainment. Highlights include Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, now stepping off at 8:15 PM for earlier viewing, the fan-favorite Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show, and Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks hosted by Jack Skellington. New for 2026, Stitch will host an interactive dance party in Tomorrowland alongside Lilo and Angel, while returning entertainment includes the beloved Cadaver Dans and surprise appearances from Disney Villains throughout the park.
Trick-or-treating remains a signature part of the experience, with more than a dozen treat locations throughout the park offering favorites like M&Ms, Snickers, and Starburst. Each guest receives a complimentary treat bag, and costumes are encouraged for all ages, provided they follow Disney’s guidelines. Guests will also find exclusive character meet-and-greet opportunities, including Jack Skellington and Sally, Mickey and Minnie in Halloween attire, and other rare character appearances that are only available during the event.
One of the most valuable aspects of this event is the early park entry. Guests with party tickets can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM, even though the event officially begins at 7:00 PM. This allows for up to eight hours in the park, making it possible to enjoy both regular attractions and party-exclusive offerings in one visit.
Because of the popularity and limited capacity of this event, planning ahead is key. Choosing the right date, understanding how to prioritize entertainment, and maximizing your time in the park can make a significant difference in your overall experience.
Our team helps clients navigate every step of the process—from selecting the best party date and securing tickets before they sell out, to building a smart park strategy that ensures you don’t miss the highlights. If Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is on your radar, now is the time to start the conversation so you’re fully prepared when tickets are released.
