Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa will whisk you away to a land of Victorian elegance. This exquisite deluxe Disney resort is famous for its full service spa and fitness center along with your choice of fine dining experiences. Don’t worry, while this resort is geared toward total relaxation for adults there is still a wide range of activities and amenities for even the tiniest of Disney guests.

The attention to detail begins as soon as you walk into the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Guests are greeted in the lobby by an orchestra filling the grand atrium with the sounds of ragtime, jazz, and of course popular Disney tunes.

Accommodations

The sophistication and elegance of this resort does not stop at the atrium. Resort rooms are decorated with a chic and modern Victorian theme. Standard view, lagoon view, theme park view, and deluxe garden views are just a few of the resort room options available at Disney’s Grand Floridian. With close to 900 rooms there is something to meet everyone’s needs.

Standard view, lagoon view, and theme park view rooms all sleep 5 guests and have two queen beds and 1 day bed, 2 queen beds or 1 king bed, and 1 day bed or 1 king bed and 1 double-size sleeper sofa. Each room has a sliding glass door patio that overlooks the perfectly manicured grounds of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort also offers rooms and suites with club level services. Club level services include:

  • Secured key access to the club-level lounge, serving refreshments 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily

The Royal Palm Club is located in the main building and The Sugar Loaf club is located in the Sugar Loaf building. Club level rooms have standard views, theme park views, garden views, and lagoon views. One and two bedroom suites can be found at both The Royal Palm Club and The Sugar Loaf Club.

In 2013, Disney Vacation Club opened a new addition of 147 villas and studio rooms. They are located near the spa and wedding pavilion at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. The villas have their own check-in and parking area and are available in one or two bedroom options.

Dining

The Grand Floridian is known for its wide range of table service options. Six table service restaurants are located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Guest have the unique experience of being able to dine with some of their favorite Disney characters such as Mary Poppins, Cinderella and Prince Charming, or even the Mad Hatter and Tiger at 1900 Park Fare. Don’t forget to try the strawberry soup – our favorite!

Guest looking for a casual dining experience can head over to The Garden View Tearoom.  Here guests of all ages can take part in the centuries-old English tradition of “afternoon tea.”

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is home to three fine and signature dining experiences. Narcoossee’s is an octagonal-shaped restaurant and is separate from the resort and sits on the bank of the Seven Seas Lagoon. Narcoossee’s is decorated in a waterfront setting and features a coastal cuisine.

Citricos is located in a beautiful and chic setting. This restaurant serves American seafood and Mediterranean-Florida fare. Citricos is most noted for their award winning wine list.

Victoria and Albert’s is an award winning fine dining experience. Victoria and Albert’s is the signature restaurant of Disney’s Grand Floridian.  Victoria & Albert’s features modern American cuisine with exquisite ingredients sourced from around the world, including truffles from Italy, Russian Osetra caviar, beef from Japan, poulet rouge from North Carolina and shrimp from local Florida waters.

If you do not have reservations, you can also dine at Disney’s Grand Floridian lounge, Enchanted Rose. Here you can savor delicious appetizers and cocktails in this Beauty and the Beast inspired lounge. No reservations are required but seating is first come, first serve.

Pools and Recreation

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has two pools. The Beach Pool is an 11,261-gallon pool overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon.  This pool contains a 181-foot-long water slide and is complete with cascading waterfalls and zero-depth entry similar to that of a beach. Pool side cabana rentals are also available at the Beach Pool.  If you are looking for a quieter setting to relax head over to the Courtyard Pool. This pool is a heated zero-entry leisure pool with a maximum depth of nearly 5 feet. Don’t forget towels and life jackets are available at the Captain’s Shipyard.

Young children will love the Alice in Wonderland themed water playground.

If you are looking for a little bit more adventure or a way to see the sites of Disney’s Seven Seas Lagoon, then Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is the place for you. Motorized boat rentals, specialty cruises, and fishing excursions are just a few of the recreation activities offered at Disney’s Grand Floridian.

Spa Services

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is probably best known for its serene spa services. Senses is the full spa located at the resort. Here you can indulge in a complete selection of therapies designed to relax and rejuvenate. Facials, massage therapies, body therapies, and nails are just a few of the services offered at Senses. The best part about this spa is it offers services for kids as well. Princess or princes can take part in pedicures or magical manicures.

Transportation

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is located on Disney’s free Monorail service. The Walt Disney World Monorail System has 3 separate lines that travel throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
